Diagnostic Course

This is our most popular course. It is specifically designed to help you build a high quality portfolio of work ready for university application. It consists of 9 projects split across 3 stages and allows you to explore a range of creative media and processes before choosing a subject area to specialise in.

Subject Area Course

This course is also designed specifically to help you build a distinct and personal portfolio of work ready for university application. It consists of 9 subject area projects. If you know your future direction of study this course will help you explore and develop area specific techniques, ideas and processes.

Drawing Course

This course is aimed at those who are new to art and design and consists of 9 projects that will introduce drawing and sketching as a responsive and playful activity and how it is a fundamental tool in the creative process across all disciplines. It consists of a blend of technical and more expressive forms of drawing and mark-making.

3D Sketching Course

This course consists of a sequence of interconnected projects and technical workshops aimed at developing professional skills in relation to 3D sketching and drawing. It is primarily aimed at students with an interest in 3D Design such as Product Design or Architecture. It includes perspective and rendering techniques.

2D Project Tasters

This allows you to choose a single project within 2D studies in order to learn a new skill or to enhance your existing portfolio of work. Popular 2D taster projects include - Penlid & Mushroom BrickLane in a Cup and Image Intervention.

3D Project Tasters

This allows you to choose a single project within 3D studies in order to learn a new skill or to enhance your existing portfolio of work. Suitable for students with an interest in all aspects of 3D design these projects explore ideas around construction, form and the relationship between drawing and making.

COURSE DETAILS:


  • With all courses only basic computer skills are required and the projects are designed to be engaging and thought-provoking.

  • Duration of our courses range from 4 weeks to 36 weeks. However as they are very much self-paced you may wish to take longer than the scheduled time to complete your work and up to a year to complete the portfolio based courses (Diagnostic and Subject Area).

  • Materials must be provided by you. Although many projects only require basic 2D/ 3D materials others will need more specialist media and tools. Advanced notice will be given when this is the case.
